For Investors
In brief
Glasses On The Run captures real, transaction-level sales data directly from running stores' point-of-sale systems, anonymises and combines it across stores, and turns it into market intelligence for a category — independent running retail — where systematic, verifiable data can be hard to find. We are pre-launch on the external data product: an anonymisation floor of at least ten contributing stores per published data point means there's nothing live to purchase yet. If you're evaluating this for a deal, a market-sizing exercise, or a portfolio thesis, get in touch — we're glad to talk through what exists today and what doesn't yet.
We're currently focused on the UK, with plans to expand across the European market over time.
The gap this addresses
Independent running retail is a naturally fragmented category. Market sizing and diligence in categories like this are usually built from a combination of public filings, trade association estimates, and expert interviews — reasonable proxies, but proxies, not direct measurement. As far as we can tell, there isn't a systematic source of real transaction data for this specific slice of the market yet.
What we're building
Real point-of-sale data, captured directly from running stores as it happens — not a survey, not a modelled estimate. As more stores connect, that data becomes a genuine, checkable denominator against total market activity in this category, rather than a proxy. See Methodology & Data Practices for how the data is captured and protected.
Where things stand today
This is a pre-launch data product. Cross-store data is only published once at least ten stores in the same country are contributing to a given data point — that floor is calculated per country rather than pooled across borders, and it means there is no live, purchasable dataset yet.
Why this matters to you
If your work involves sizing or diagnosing this market — for a specific transaction, a sector thesis, or ongoing monitoring — this is something you could eventually cite and defend, rather than a modelled estimate. Since we are still working on building the full dataset, we cannot offer a completed data purchase yet, but we believe it's worth an early conversation.
